Anyone Out There?

Follow my blog please...

Hey folks, if you're a blogger or a friend, or a friend of a blogger, you should know blogging is tough business. It takes a lot of effort, consistancy, and creativity.

As a blogger (a newbie blogger, I'll admit), I crave attention. It's not that I want to be famous, have a trillion followers, or profit from this in anyway. It's just that I long for comments. I want to feel like I'm talking to someone. Anyone. Not just talking to myself. You know what I mean?

So if you have any tips on promoting a blog or if you have friends that might enjoy reading this blog, please show some love and support my little universe here at Olive Weddings.

Please note that I probably won't get any comments on this post. Nobody will read it, but guess what? I'm going to blog and blog some more anyway!

Thank you to the 14 followers that I do have. You guys have made my day on many occasions with your following and comments. Thank you for your continued support. If there's anything I can do to help you further a dream of yours, please let me know, because you're helping to make mine come true!

I'm here. :) I actually met 2 bridal bloggers for the first time tonight and we talked about blogging as networking. I've seen that some of the most "popular" bloggers are those that comment on other bloggers (of a similar category) and build relationships with them. Some just go and write on a million blogs saying "Come to my blog and I'll put you on my blogroll" It does work because I've seen one of these new girls get 200 followers.

So go out there and say hi to your bridal, lifestyle, design, etc. bloggers!

p.s. I have a new contest for some Spanish Damasquino 24k gold earrings - enter if you'd like!

I've found that it just takes time...i started bloggin in october and I dont have a ton of followers...but after awhile you start getting the same readers who comment...other bloggers will read your comments and click on your name if you say something interesting...(or at least thats what I do!) just keep going! and blog fairly consistently.

You are too cute and I love that little cartoon! I started out slow myself and have been blogging for about 3 yrs now?! I think thats right! At first I would just blog about myself and things I liked and disliked and went around the blogging world trying to find ppl with similar interest and ideas. I was big and still am big on SCrapbooking so thats what I looked up for blogs. Then we got engaged and it opened up wedding blogs and thats when I got more followers.

The wedding blog community is great and very friendly and so is the non wedding blog community. You just have to click with someone and keep blogging and commenting on other blogs too. I have this wonderful lady who has been my follower since the beginning and its always nice to hear from her.

PS I really like your blog! :)

I'm here :) I enjoy reading your blog! I totally know how you feel. My blog is a business blog and I honestly have no idea who reads it. I DO think people read it but I wish more people would comment also ... Just so I would KNOW they were out there :)

It is exciting getting new followers! Although I am really not keen on people that run giveaways and make people follow them. I only want followers that actually like my blog - not just want a giveaway.

My biggest tip would be to get out there and comment like mad. Find your fav blogs and comment on them all the time - most will return the favor. If they don't - that's just rude.
